Enough is enough!
Little boy, come blow your horn They've sprayed extra chemicals on the corn Trees would die and rivers would weep While people who ought to stop all this are fast asleep! Why are we turning away from the fact that we've done lots of damage to this beautiful planet? Even those mighty dinosaurs wouldn't have done this much harm as we, humans, have done to this beautiful planet. It's a shame that we, as species living on this planet for such a less period in time have yet caused such farrago of inventions and vandalization that the graves for generations of not just our own race are ready..already...Yes, it's late. Better late than never. I hate plastic waste. The sickening view of plastic burning in the backyard of my house or in open dumping yards or floating in the oceans hampering with the beautiful balance of nature is so tormenting. Why can't all humans understand they too are just another species on this great planet sharing the air we breathe, the water we drink and land we live on with the other species of flora and fauna having equal right to every resource present. Who are humans to misuse and damage the lives of so many such creatures with such catastrophic steps not just killing own species but putting the whole system at stake? It really hurts me not be able to find a solution to it. I genuinely want to get rid of this- the plastic: we ought to agree that plastic which might have been the greatest good for humanity at one point in time has turned into the greatest evil as well. The refrain in Alfred Lord Tennyson's The Brook is :
For men may come and men may go, But I go on for ever. But, sadly, it looks like the people-kind is not going to let the brook to go on forever.
